Old Fashion Films
4x5 or 8x10 film - images are produced with non-traditional darkroom printing techniques, such as Van Dyke, Platinum/Palladium, or Gum Bichromate.
Dryplate
The making gelatin emulsion dry plates was the alternative to factory-made black-and-white film we use today.
Ambrotype/Tintype
The tintype technique was invented in the 1850s. Each image is made directly onto a coated aluminum plate prepared right before the image is taken.
Like tintype, the amprotype images are made onto a piece of clear glass or black glass. The glass plate is also prepared moments before the image is taken.
